I was in rehab for heroin. they detoxed me for a week and gave me pills to help with withdrawl. They decrease your meds every night, After that week I didn’t get anything else. I stayed for a month. it sucked but you feel good once your clean. first 2 weeks are the hardest

I never really found that much out about it when my ex was having problems. I knew it was very expensive and is only in certain areas. We would have had to travel to Chicago to have it done for him.

They put them to sleep for a good while and run drugs through their system to flush out the drugs. It only helps with the first few days of withdrawl but you will withdrawl for a while depending on what you were on. Methadone withdrawl lasts longer. On average the first three days are the worst which this process eliminates. then the 4-7 day is hard and after that it gets easier. About 2-3 weeks after being clean it sometimes hits again and then sometimes about a month or two later. Mostly, it’s a lot of mental withdrawls, trying to get used to life not on the drugs. Trying to get used to not doing the things you were doing daily such as going out and purchasing the drugs. You need a lot of support and self confidence during those times. I hope you have a lot of loving people around for whoever it is.
